Just a thought. I was sitting there today thinking how much the Trinity Road Stand cost to build in 1922 and how it was unheard of for stain glass windows and marble mosaics etc to be used in football stands. Now you get the feeling anything will do.
I mean will the Villa have anything as eyecatching as the mosaics? I doubt it. Don't forget though you can buy, for £50 a paver from the official site to have your inscription cast in stone.
Obviously "Die, Doug, Die" isn't going to be allowed, but you can bet that moronic "We love Villa, Shaz & Kevin" will be.
This got me thinking. Wouldn't it have been better just to have the names of all the players that have played for Villa, with their records and honours won. Managers, and board members too. Yes Even Doug's name.
"HD ELLIS 1969 - 1977, 1892- 3 Mickey Mouse cups"
Brings a tear to my eye just thinking about it. It would be interesting to see if people stepped over, rather than on Paul McGrath's paver, or David Platt's. And how many gobs Bosnich and Yorkes would be covered in.
However I realised that it would cost too much money to employ some one to continually remove the steaming pile of human excrement off Steve Hodge's paver.
