Here is a pictorial diary of the destruction of the greatest football stand in the world. I hope those repsonsible burn in hell. From the 15th May 2001 to 4th August 2002

Well the final nail in all the "we'll do our best to keep as much as we can" promises are evident for all to see.

The mosaics at both ends have been replaced by cheap (although it's probably not cheap enough for Doug Ellis) plastic cladding. This stand is now the epitimy of what the Ellis era stands for at Villa Park.

Cheap, unpleasing to the eye, not without a major fiasco, and ultimately not as good as the previous one

New, increased players' car park has been fenced off on the North Stand Car Park. This will cause problems with the traffic as all cars on the NSCP will have to exit from the Witton Lane side, excluding of course the players!

010719_2:
The gates have been put back in place on the frontage and the club have solved the tiny problem of the 5 foot drop around the enterance

010719_3:
The mosaic going up on the Holte end of the Trinity Road stand. IT will be dramatic as it's over the road, but as you can see below it's just cheap plastic

The cheap plastic cladding replacing the mosaic. Nice one Ellis! Nice one Ansell.

The original Trinity Road stand, as I've said before, was built with a remit that NOTHING was too good for the Villa. We were the finest football club in the world and should show it.

I ask you, what does this new stand say about us?
